This is my second book by the Vish Dhamija. I liked the premise of the book and bought it. The main character was attractive and i wanted to read about him. But the book didn’t turned out to be as i expected it to be.
I wanted to read more of the main character and i was thinking that he should have been turned into a series character but on that front also i was let down.

I have rehearsed these lines numerous times since that ill-fated night.
Jay Singh is the best defence lawyer in New Delhi. Every one knows he fights a case to win and believes the end justifies the means. He seems invincible who has the world by the tail.
But there is something that haunts him. There is a mystery to which he wants to find the answer but hasn’t been able to do from the past two decades.
Vinay kumar is son of an ex minister. He’s being groomed to become the next political big wig. When his mistress, Gina Pinto, is found murdered the police seem to think he is behind it. But Vinay can’t afford to have this taint on him at this juncture. He wants his name cleared and has come to Jai.
Jai knows the only way to get his client acquitted is to find the real killer.
So, who was behind the murder of Gina? Was Vinay being framed by his opposition? Was Jai able to live up to his reputation? What happend in Jai’s past? Will he able to solve that mystery?

It was an okay read for me. There were few things that i didn’t like in the book.
There were times when i thought a lot was going on in the main character’s life. The case that should.have been the main focus of the story sometimes seemed to be side tracked by his love life and his past. It’s a lot for the reader to take in. The ending also seemed rushed. It seemed that the author had reached a decided page limit and he was forced to close all open ends as quickly as he can.
Secondly, the book is supposed to be a mystery. There were two mysteries in this book. The one that was happening in the present and one that happened in the past. If you have read few mystery novels then you can make out what the big reveal would be.
It was not that the book was boring but if in a mystery novel you can guess the mystery then it sure dampens the reading experience.
I wanted to read more of the main character and i was thinking that he should have been turned into a series character but on that front also i was let down.
I would not recommend it instead go for other books by the author.
But if you still want to read the book then you can get that from the following links:
