First Sentence:
The moment he came into the room she knew something was wrong.

When Harry Griffin gets fired from the job he decides he has taken enough.

‘The world is full of smart guys who get rich and suckers who stay poor.’ , he tells his girl friend Glorie.

And he has decided to turn smart. He has a plan to get his hands on three million dollars worth of diamonds. He knows if successful this could get him enough money to start his own business.

All he now needs is a little help from someone to pull this heist and he knows Glorie could make sure that he gets this help.

How could Glorie help him? Was he successful in pulling the heist? Did he get the diamonds? Was he able to fulfil his dream?

The title ‘You’ve got it coming’ tells a lot about this story. You can predict how it’s going to end for the protagonist. All you have to do is read it and see your prediction coming true. I enjoyed reading the story. There are three main characters in the book. Harry Griffin, the protagonist, Glorie Dan, Harry’s Girlfriend, and Borg, the hench man of Ben Delaney, the mob boss.

I didn’t like Harry at all. He’s a prick and  there were times i felt like punching him. He thinks he’s got brains and brawn but in reality he’s an irritating foolish wuss. He keeps doing mistakes throughout the novel and by the end of it i couldn’t even feel pity for  him.

In contrast to him i liked Glorie Dan better. I think she got the short end of the stick. She’s an intelligent woman who’s suffering from low self esteem. She’s far more better than Harry but lets him feel that he’s the boss. I felt sad for the and thought she deserved better.

Borg is the third main character of the book. He’s an enforcer for a mob boss called Ben Delaney. He’s a real creepy guy. He’s the predator who enjoys playing with his prey. He’s like an ominous presence throughout the novel and keeps the tension up and mounting thorough out the novel. There couldn’t have been a better antagonist than him.

As far the story is concerned, most of the story is fast paced and keeps you hooked. There is a heist, double cross and a cat and mouse chase that keeps the tension up. I think it was near the end that the book lost a little of it’s pace but it was not for long. Once Borg makes the entry it picks up the pace again. I just wished the final sequence between Borg and Harry would have been a little more entertaining.

I would definitely recommend this book. I enjoyed reading it and i hope you guys get as much enjoyment out of it as i got.
